1. What is telehealth
Telehealth is the delivery of healthcare services using communications technology — secure messaging, video calls, or asynchronous questionnaires — rather than in-person visits. Ojasya provides telehealth through licensed clinicians in your state.
2. Benefits and limitations
Benefits include convenience, reduced travel, and faster access to specialists. Limitations include the inability to perform a physical examination, the potential for technology failure, and the fact that some conditions genuinely require in-person care. If your clinician determines your situation requires in-person evaluation, they will tell you and refer you appropriately.
3. Risks specific to prescribed medications
Medications prescribed through Ojasya carry risks, side effects, and interactions that your clinician will review with you. You are responsible for sharing your full medical history, current medications, and any allergies. Failure to do so can lead to harm.
4. Your role
The care you receive depends on the information you provide and the changes you observe in yourself. Please report new symptoms, side effects, or concerns promptly through secure messaging or the phone number provided in your account.
5. Emergency care
Ojasya is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, including suicidal thoughts, severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a severe allergic reaction, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
6. Records and messaging
Clinical messages are part of your medical record and are handled under HIPAA protections. Messages are not a substitute for urgent care. We aim to reply within one business day.
7. Right to withdraw
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Tell your clinician or cancel from your account. Withdrawal does not affect care already provided.
8. Acknowledgment
By proceeding with care at Ojasya, you confirm that you have read this consent, understand it, and have had the opportunity to ask questions.
